What it actually does
Not just a transcript. A pass that thinks about what you meant to say.
Cleans up as it listens
Removes filler words and false starts, and applies your own self-corrections: "Tuesday, no, Wednesday" becomes "Wednesday". Still your words, your voice, British spelling.
Fast enough to disappear
Transcription typically lands in under a second, so it feels like part of typing rather than a separate step.
Private by default
Your history stays on your device. Audio is processed to produce the text, then it isn't stored.

Questions
Is my audio stored?
No. Your audio is sent to the transcription provider you've chosen (Groq or OpenAI) to produce the text, then it's discarded. Nothing is stored on their side or ours; only the resulting history stays, and that stays on your device.
